Director and founder, Clayton Watson oversees the operation of the company. Clayton completed his four-year apprenticeship in 2001 and gained valuable experience in a wide range of industries before establishing his own business as an electrician in Melbourne in the mid-2000s. He founded Tesla Electrical in 2011 to better service his growing clientele base. Clayton is passionate about sustainability and energy efficiency.

Tesla Electrical’s namesake was derived from the visionary Serbian-American inventor, Nikola Tesla. Tesla was best known for inventing the AC (alternating current) power system, which is the standard power system in use today. Tesla also invented the Tesla Coil, still used in radio technology, and other technologies including electric cars, radar and X-ray technology.
Tesla died in 1943, aged 86. We are inspired by Tesla’s contributions to the electrical industry and believe there are great opportunities in the electrical services market to further his legacies.
